First Halloween!

We had so much fun with Reese on his first Halloween! He wore his costume for enough time to get a few pictures made. I have always loved Halloween but having Reese around made it even more fun. Some of our family came by for some chili and of course fought over who would hold Reese - he definitely has plenty of people around him who can't get enough of him!

A Birthday Party To Remember

I went to my best buds first birthday party this week - man does her momma know how to throw a party! It was so much fun and we even got to wear our costumes!

A Day in the Mountains!

This has been the best weekend - I have got to do so many new things - of course everything is new to me right now! Daddy was out of town - I know who could leave this sweet face but he had a fishing tournament to tend to! So Momma took me out and about! Friday I hung out with my Nonna, Great Nana, and Great Pap in the mountains. We went to go see the leaves but all we really saw was a bunch of tree limbs with leaves on the ground - oh well it was still fun! Then we went to a restaurant - it was my first time at the dinner table - naturally I slept! Momma meant to get my picture made in the mountains but she forgot so we pulled over to some pumpkins on the side of the road- obviously it didn't make the best picture!
Tomorrow is Halloween and I get to dress up again to help hand out candy! I can't wait!

Just Hanging In My Swing!

Reese is getting used to me holding him all day long so when I put him in his swing he loses it - except if he is asleep. So the trick is to sneak him in there after he passes out in my arms! This gives me just a little bit of time to pick up the house and try to pay a little bit of attention to the dogs!

Play Time!

Today I tried out my play mat - at first I cried and then I kind of liked it! I looked around for a little bit while momma played with the rattles. After about 10 minutes I was over it and ready to go to my swing. I love the swing - but really I'm satisfied anywhere as long as I have my monkey paci with me! Tonight I go to my very first birthday party - my friend Braylan turned 1 today so I am going to celebrate with her and I get to wear my Halloween costume! I can't wait! I'm sure my mom will post plenty of pictures!

First Real Bath

We gave Reese his first bath today - he has had sponge baths but we hadn't brought out his bath tub until today! We were waiting for his umbilical cord to fall off which it did this week. It seemed like he really liked sitting in his tub - who wouldn't like sitting in warm water while someone else was scrubbing you and rinsing you off! The life of a baby!
Reese is still doing great - we are amazed with how well he is sleeping at night! Of course we always try to get him full right before bedtime and so far it is working because he is sleeping a good 3-5 hours before his next feeding! We won't complain about that!

My First Outing!

I finally got to leave the house and it wasn't to go to the doctor! Wednesday night I went to Big Daddy and MeMe's house to celebrate Uncle Josh and Aunt Marcy's Birthday! It was so much fun - everyone got to hold me and Big Daddy was lucky enough to be holding me while I pooped all over myself! It's so fun to get out of our house and I can't wait to do it again!

My First Stroll

I got to take a stroll today - it was a really short one but it got me out of the house for a little while! I liked it so much it looks like I am smiling but really I am just passing gas! I can't wait for my next one!

I Peed On Myself!

While daddy was changing me tonight I forgot I didn't have my diaper on and peed all over myself - it wouldn't have been so bad except it went all over my face! I'll remember that next time when I feel like I've really got to go! I cried for 10 minutes - pee in the face is no fun!!

Play Date!

Today was Reese's first play date with his friends! He had the best day - sleeping! Ha! Reese slept the entire time all his friends were here but he did at least join in for some really cute picture opportunities! Reese and Jack were pretty chill the entire visit while Braylan and Leighton gave us entertainment. I'm sure Reese and Jack will be fighting over both of these cuties in a few years!

Reese is doing great - we don't want to jinx ourselves but he is sleeping great! We put him in his bassinet last night after his midnight feeding and he slept until 2. He ate again around 5 and then slept until John woke him up at 9:30! We couldn't believe he slept that long but he felt great and we felt so rested!

Tomorrow we go back to the doctor just for a little weight check - nothing big but the doctor just wants to make sure he is gaining like he should! He is eating like a champ so we expect him to be just fine!

Home Sweet Home!!!

Reese wore us out last night!

We are finally home and adjusting to life with Reese! We were welcomed home with decorations at the front of our house that Wes and Marcy did and John's mom got us a cake that looked just like a layer from our wedding cake for our anniversary and to welcome home Reese. Thanks to everyone for the flowers and all the other sweet things we have received these last few days.

The first couple of days home have been pretty much like we expected. Reese is the best and we are loving every second of having him at home. On a scale of 1-10 I will give him a 5 for his sleeping efforts during the night last night. He loves to sleep all through the day and then be up at night but that is pretty normal for a newborn so we will keep him! As you can see from the pictures of the dogs he wore them out too! They were concerned all through the night why he was crying and kept scratching on the door to come and check him out. Finally, we let Buster in because he was not giving up. They basically just stare at him and bark a little when Reese cries - Reese could care less about their barking!

John took some pictures of him in his nursery this morning and from the look of his face he wasn't too impressed with his crib - ha! He did sleep for a couple of hours in his bassinet last night which was nice. When he wasn't in his bassinet he was on a pillow between us and we kept the light on the entire night so we could watch him - we were a little on the nervous side! We were concerned last night because Reese hadn't pooped all day but he made up for it about 2 in the morning. John went to change him and Reese had had a serious blow out! It was all over his back, clothes, blanket, socks - so lets just say we aren't so concerned anymore.
We gave him a bath today and I guess he decided he would get back at me because Reese peed all over me - it was pretty hilarious! I guess he showed me for making him freeze to death - this baby does not like his clothes off!

Tomorrow we go to the Pediatrician to have him checked out again but we think all is good - hopefully he will put on a little weight because none of his newborn clothes even fit him - they are even too big!
