Day After Easter

A certain momma and daddy forgot all about giving Reese his Easter basket on Easter - it's hard enough getting out of here and getting to church on time much less taking pictures of Reese and his Easter basket! So we got some tonight! Here is Reese and his basket - he loved taking the stuff out and playing with the eggs!

Easter Day!

Reading the Easter Prayer with Great Pap!
Taking a nap with Nonna!
Everyone looks really happy about having their picture made!

Taking a ride in his new wagon!

Reese loves Uncle Wes - but Uncle Wes seems to get Reese in all the wrong times! Wes cracks us up when he plays with him but it usually leads to Reese crying!!!

We had a great Easter - a busy one but so much fun! We had lots of good food and enjoyed the day with all of our family! Reese got to play in his pool and show off to everyone how he isn't one bit afraid of the water. He loves to plant his face right in the water and go after his toys - it is hilarious to watch! Reese racked up with lots of toys, books, clothes, stuffed animals, beach toys, a wagon, and too many other things to even remember. John and I both explained to Reese what the meaning of Easter is but that seemed to go right over his head when he saw all the tissue paper he got to play with when he opened his new gifts! I guess being the only grandchild on both sides of the family has its benefits! After a busy weekend, Reese was worn out by the end of the night and ready to get home. Write this down as a major milestone - Reese slept through the night for the first time EVER last night. He still woke up by 7 in the morning but no middle of the night fussing! I must say - it was quite heavenly to get a good nights sleep!!

Easter at Church

We had to get some pictures of Reese and Jack together after church on Sunday. I love these pictures - I love the way Jack won't put his arms down and touch the grass and made noises the entire time! I like how Reese is trying to pull up Jacks cousins dress and I love the shot of just Jack where Reese is holding his hand! Precious!!!!

Birthday Party/Egg Hunt

On Saturday Reese went to Jack's cousins 7th birthday party and an Easter Egg Hunt! We had a lot of fun taking Reese to the party and getting to spend the day outside and enjoy the weather! By the end of the party Reese was pretty tired and grumpy - he has a hard time taking a nap when there is so much excitement around him. After the party we stopped by to see Big Daddy and MeMe and we tried on his sunglasses! Looks like somebody is ready for Hilton Head - he didn't know what to think of his new shades!

6 Month Pictures

My awesome photographer, Jessica, took Reese's 6 month pictures this past weekend....we have learned a lot since Reese's 3 month pictures and this time he was happy!! We had planned to do them at Cherokee Blvd. but the grass was dead so we went to Lake Shore Park and I love the way they turned out. It was a windy overcast day so Jessica literally took these pictures in 15 minutes because we didn't want Reese to get sick! Here are some of the ones she took....amazing job Jessica!!!

Sweet Potatoes & Easter Eggs

Neck kisses from Faux!

This is Reese's new look he started yesterday - He found out he can hold his breath so he takes a deep breath in and then holds it and then makes a loud noise letting it out. I told him a 100 times to quit doing it because it was scaring me - he didn't listen!

I thought I was going to get the Mom of The Year Award yesterday for making Reese homemade sweet potatoes but then I realized a few things - one...it doesn't even really save any money...two....I can buy organic at the store so what is really the difference and three...he didn't even really care that much. So, my fun thoughts about making all of Reese's food went out the window yesterday. I did at least get a picture of this once in a lifetime event!
After that we all dyed Easter eggs with Reese - he was of course way more interested in the egg carton. That is until we let him play with the eggs - he loved the texture and mushing the egg up in his hands and then putting it straight to his mouth (I hope he doesn't have an egg allergy). He still has egg dye under his fingernails but it was all worth it to watch him do this.
