Last weekend we went down to Market Square to get some pictures and eat dinner with Tait and Navy. I wanted to get Reese's picture made with the lights in the background for our Christmas card - as you can see it didn't turn out so great! We did have two funny comments made while we were eating though! First our waitress asked us if we needed a kid's menu (not sure what she thought these two babies might eat off a menu) and then someone asked if Jack and Reese were twins!

2 Month Checkup
We went for Reese's 2 month check up yesterday and that meant shots! Like I said before I was dreading this appointment - I hated to see him cry. When we got there the nurse asked if she could clean out his nose with the suction thing (not sure what that is called) - he is breathing so much better now but he hated every second of that - he was screaming like crazy and his face turned blood red. Whenever John or I use this thing we are pretty gentle - she was not but I know she knows what she is doing! So the appointment didn't start out so great! Then he got weighed and measured - he is 11 lb. 11 oz. and 23 inches long - both in the 75th percentile! Growing boy! After that came the shots - he screamed again and I of course turned the other way. I hate shots myself so definitely couldn't watch him get 3! After the shots I fed him and he was so happy again - just smiling away! As much as getting shots stinks for a baby I'm sure they forget all about them real quick!
The doctor said he is as healthy as can be and growing just like he should.
After the appointment we came home and Uncle Wes and Aunt Marcy brought the best dinner over! As some of you know Reese likes to save up his poops and goes about every 2-3 days (as Navy says - when he goes he really goes)! Wes was holding him and there it came! I always crack up when someone is holding Reese and he poots and they are for sure he is pooping on them. Oh no - trust me you know when it's the real thing! Wes froze and I told him where the diapers were - ha! I took care of it of course and Reese was a very happy camper the rest of the night!

Happy 2 Months!
How has it already been 2 months? We can't believe how much you have changed in just this short amount of time! I loved you as a newborn but this stage is just so fun and exciting to see what new thing you do each day! You have accomplished so much already! Here are a few things you can do at just 2 months old! You are beginning to coo so much more and actually today is the first time I have really heard you go on and on! We have noticed that you love to coo when we aren't trying to get it out of you! The other night we put you in front of the tree in your bouncer and walked out of the room and we heard you cooing away - you were talking to the tree! Tonight was the first time Big Daddy heard you coo - I think you made his day! The sound of you "talking" to us is probably the best thing I have ever heard! You are also smiling so much more and we all know the trick - you love your chin to be played with and when we laugh and play with your cheeks we can normally get a smile or two! There are times when you even look like you are about to laugh - you think we are all so funny! You absolutely LOVE the ceiling fan and look for one where ever we go - if you start to cry we can show you the fan and you are happy again! You can hold your head up so good now and still love tummy time! You know mine and your daddy's voices and look for us when you hear us. I was upstairs the other night and kept saying your name while your daddy had you downstairs and you were turning your head all over the place looking for me! You are always on the go and go everywhere we go - it is going to be a while before you have a sleepover at your grandparents house - even though they are all begging us for you to stay! You sleep in your bassinet some of the time but I am guilty of putting you in the bed with us lots of the time! You are still such a good sleeper and eater - we hope you keep this up!
I could go on forever with things you have done and of course every one of them are priceless to us!
Tomorrow we go for your 2 month check up which will be much harder on me than you - I dread seeing you cry when you get your shots!

It's Cold Outside!!!
Brrrrr....it's cold! We saw the first snow of the season today and even though it didn't amount to anything I wanted to blog about Reese's first snow so we will remember when it was!
Reese went to church again this morning and loves the music and the lights - he is very content just looking around and taking it all in. I looked at him and Jack at one point during the sermon only to find them both with their fists stuck in their mouths just sucking away. They were both so cute! We took him to Market Square again today after church for lunch with Ben, Vita, Navy, Tait & Jack and then came home to bundle up and stay inside!

Rainy Saturday!
Not much to update on but thought I should at least post a few pictures! Today we went to Nonna's house to make some homemade sugar cookies and help decorate her tree! After that we came home to watch some football and Big Daddy and MeMe came over - they were needing a "Reese Fix" as they like to call it!
We went to Market Square last night with Navy and Tait to try to get some good Christmas pictures - well that didn't work out! Still trying to figure out how to get a good Christmas picture of Reese for our Christmas cards! Hopefully we will come up with something soon so we can get those out!
