Happy 6 Months Birthday!

This is what teething does to your shirts....slobber slobber!

Reese had his 6 month checkup yesterday and boy did he ever put on a show! He was hilarious! He showed the nurse and doctor how he loves to blow bubbles, smile, and make really loud noises to get everyone's attention. He was a riot! He tore up all the paper on the exam table and of course tried to get it in his mouth. He had a few shots and cried for about a second and was over it! He weighed 16lbs 8.5oz. which is the 37th percentile and was 25.5 inches long which is the 25th percentile. The doctor said he is as healthy as can be and is ready to start fruits! The doctor also looked at us to see who Reese favored and he said moi!!! Ha, I loved it...no one ever says that!
Here are a few things that Reese can do at 6 months old:
-Anything and everything goes straight to your mouth
-You just started in the past few days opening and closing your hands constantly to try to grab stuff
-You are starting to reach for things and can easily be distracted now with toys if you start to cry
-You took a nap in your crib for 2 hours - we are going to gradually get you to start sleeping in there at night. Your daddy and I both know you are probably ready but it's hard!
-You recognize the people you see all the time and your face lights up with excitement
-You love it when we blow on your neck and belly - it cracks you up and gets you to laugh out loud most of the time
-You have the cutest high pitched laugh and sweet little cries - I hate to hear you cry but the face you make always cracks me up!
-You are so squirmy now - I'm sure you will be crawling soon
-You have finally gotten some hair - not much but it is definitely growing
-You hate bedtime - you have the same routine every night - you cry like crazy when you are getting sleepy. Generally after 7:30 you are done - this is the time you start getting sleepy and start trying to fight going to sleep
-I sing you twinkle twinkle little star every night when you get fussy and it puts you to sleep every time - I have no idea what it is about that song but you love it and it puts you to sleep on the spot
-You love all the veggies we have given you and eat really well - even the green veggies
-You still love your feet - they are pretty much your favorite toy - you are so interested in them
-You are pretty tough to be just a baby - you fall over sometimes, hit your head but you never really cry
-There are definitely times when you only want your momma and daddy and no one else - I like those times!

You are an amazing little boy - we can't believe you are 6 months old! You are changing every single day. You make us better people for just having you in our lives! We love you little man!!
