We couldn't wait to take Reese to Hilton Head since literally the day I found out I was pregnant! It is definitely mine and John's favorite place to be so we were excited to share this with Reese! We couldn't have asked for a better trip!! We were there for 10 days with John's family and my parents were able to come down to see Reese on the beach for the last half of the trip. Reese absolutely loved the beach....loved eating handfuls of sand....loved the water....loved the bike rides (okay, that is a stretch - he hated the helmet but got used to it towards the end of the trip). Reese was a wildman at the beach - he would have eaten all the sand on the beach if we would have let him! He also got to take many wagon rides up and down the beach - we would catch him throwing his toys out of the wagon on these rides! He also loved getting to try new foods; he tried juice from actual fruits - not the baby kind, started eating baby yogurt and LOVES it, tried a mashed up potato that his great Pap put butter all over - his strict mommy wouldn't let him eat it because of the butter! Ha! He also got to try a tiny tiny bite of icecream because his Big Daddy was dying to give it to him. Reese is an eater and loved every bit of it. We also got to see Navy, Tait and Jack a couple of days because they were also in Hilton Head. The boys played on the beach but it was very windy that day so we didn't stay out for too long. There are so many funny stories from this trip and I will just try to highlight some so we will remember. John and I felt like negligent parents because on the first day down there Reese fell out of his carseat in the floor (he was asleep in it), then the next day he fell face first into the hard sand and scuffed his nose up, then fell and hit his head in the sand, then fell over in the pool and hit his head on the side, then as John was pulling him in the wagon he let go of the handle and it hit Reese in the face. That was a tough day for Reese. Then later that week Reese fell off the bed! I promise we were right beside Reese on every incident - it just happened so quick every time. Oh yeah, and Nonna banged his head in the bath tub one night!! We had beach pictures done on the beach which turned out to be awesome - I will post them on here when I get them! We spent all our day's at the beach and that is where Reese even took his naps. He was worn out every night but come 6:00 a.m. he was ready to do it all over again!! I'm sure now that we are home he is wondering why there is not sand and an ocean in our backyard - sorry bud!! We took a gazillion pictures so I will post them on here from each day and try my hardest to narrow it down!
