A Weekend In Alabama with Braylan & Jack
We did it...we made the 5.5 hour drive with two babies one being 8 months old and the other 6 months old to visit Heather and Braylan in Alabama!! Some of you might think we are crazy to load two babies up and take a long car ride with them but I would do it again tomorrow!! We had so much fun!! I'll start with the car ride...it went pretty well!! Reese was out as soon as we hit the road - I made sure he was fed well, burped, buckled in, and paci in mouth - that knocks him out every time, especially in the car! Jack wasn't quite ready to nap yet and we knew when he was tired Reese would wake up - that's pretty much what happened too! The boys are hilarious how they feed off each other - they now mimic each other's cries and I never know if it is my child or Jack! They were ready to be there when we got there!! Thursday night we took all three kids with us to the hair salon to spruce up our hair!!! That went better than I could have ever imagined! All you need is food, toys, a lap, and a paci to keep these kids occupied! After that we picked up food and headed back for the night and played with the kids! Braylan started off not wanting to share her toys but by the 2nd day she was handing out toys to Reese and Jack!! The next morning we were up bright and early (well Heather and I were)...somehow Navy got lucky with a late riser!! We got the kids ready once Jack was up and went for breakfast...you would think we would be smarter than to take these babies out but after breakfast we headed to Hobby Lobby! After that back home for a little photo shoot and some more playtime! Heather and I went to grab dinner for us that night while Navy watched Reese and Jack - she always wanted twins so I gave her a little taste of that! The next day we went out for lunch and came back and played outside - it was a gorgeous day and we were working extra hard to get those babies worn out for a little time to ourselves! We had so much fun and have a ton of pictures to remember this trip! I try not to get too sentimental in this blog but seeing these relationships form with Reese and his buddies at such a young age pulls at my heartstrings every time! There is no doubt that they will grow up together and love each other and be there for one another just like how their mommies are for each other! Okay, no more sappiness...time to post the pictures!!!
