Reese's Big Day!
The pediatrician came to see Reese this morning and he is 100% healthy - what more could we ask for - lucky that he is pretty darn cute too! He has dropped a little weight - he is down to 6 pounds and 15 ounces but that is normal.
After the doctor saw him the poor little guy had to get circumcised! He is back in here with us now and he is passed out - they told us he would stay out of it for a while.
Reese is doing great though and as cliche as it may sound he has literally changed our lives forever and for the better. When we look at him we really can't believe that he is all ours and that we created him - what an unbelievable gift from God.
I am recovering as well as can be expected from a c-section - I would have never guessed that the recovery would be as painful as it is but it's really easy to forget about when I look at Reese's sweet face. John has been an amazing help - I hadn't even changed Reese's diaper until late last night because John has been having to pretty much do it all. Reese does know where his food comes from so we have still had a lot of bonding time. We still can't tell who he really looks like but he is spitting image of John's newborn pictures.
We have had a lot of visitors and it has been great - Reese loves to snuggle in everybody's arms! I'm sure we will be posting more pictures - we have had to charge our camera several times because we can't get enough shots of him.
Thanks everyone for the sweet prayers and comments!
