It's Christmas Time!

First Time to Church

We have wanted to go to church the past few weeks but to be honest just couldn't make it out of bed! We decided today it was time to get back to church and introduce Reese to all of our friends there! We took him to our Sunday School Class and he was perfect the entire time - he just looked around and took a few cat naps (he must have been bored because he even started snoring). After Sunday School we went to church - I wasn't sure if this might be a little too much for his first time but he did great. I held him while we sang and he just watched me the entire time - Aunt Amanda has always said I can't sing but Reese seems to think I can because he looked so peaceful while I sang! Ha! He did get a little fussy during the sermon but nothing that a little rocking didn't soothe!

I See A Smile!

This morning I wasn't even trying to get Reese to smile but once we noticed he was in the mood to we grabbed the camera so we could catch it! We have been getting him to smile by barking at him (thanks Navy for telling me that worked) and playing with his chin! Today we just kept talking to him and he thought we were so funny - we even heard a small giggle! The best times with Reese is when he first wakes up and he is just so happy to see us!

He watched us cook the meal - if you are wondering where his clothes are- he peed all over himself which is becoming an everyday thing! Ha!

Reese got to see all of his family yesterday and spent most of the day awake which is different! We went to John's family for lunch and my family for dinner and everyone enjoyed seeing Reese on his very first Thanksgiving! Having Reese around already makes the holiday's so much more fun and we are especially thankful for him!

Fish Scales!

We have been trying to figure out how much Reese weighs for the past week and tonight John got the bright idea to weigh him with tournament fish scales. This seemed like a better idea than taking him to the produce section at Kroger's and weighing him on those scales like Nonna had suggested...ha ha! I was thinking he probably weighed 9 plus pounds but he is now 10 pounds 2 ounces (the scales weigh in tenths so we converted to ounces)- definitely a growing boy!

Fun Day in the Mountains!

When our families are around it's rare that John and I ever get to hold Reese - we had to take him from someone for this picture!

We took Reese to the mountains on Sunday to spend the day with both sides of our families. I was so excited because I knew how alert Reese has been over the past week or so and I just knew everyone was going to see how his little personality is starting to show! Well I was wrong about that - I guess from him being so bundled up and cozy he decided to sleep the entire time. He may have woke up for a few minutes but went right back to sleep! I guess if I was snuggled up and held the entire time I would sleep too! We had a great time with everyone and can't wait to do it again!

We realized as we were taking the pictures that we could have literally left the three of them on the couch all day - they were perfectly content sitting there. Jack was obviously a pretty good sport because Reese and Braylan were clearly taking advantage of him being in the middle!
